FAQ's
A : Kansas United will run in two seasons. Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. Players are welcome to play in both seasons or just one, depending on their commitment to other sports.
A : We will do our best to keep teams as consistent as possible. However, as kids transition from one sport to the next and individual skill levels improve, changes can be made from season to season. We will always communicate with the parents so they are in the loop of all changes.
A : We will play in one to two tournaments per month. This will depend on season, age and skill level of team.
A : We will sign the Kansas United teams up for the competitive local tournaments in the Lawrence, Kansas City and Topeka area. The Fall/Winter teams will play in the local Hoopsters competitive league. Older teams will have the option to travel nationally in the Spring/Summer season.
A : Teams will work together on fundraising opportunities to help pay for special items (socks, new bags, warmups, ect.) Kansas United will also be actively recruiting sponsors to help our teams cover their expenses. If you have any suggestions for sponsors please let Coach Hawkins know
A : Teams will do one community service projects per season. The project will be left up to the team to decide amongst themselves (with guidance from Coach Hawkins). Kansas United feels as though the kids will get more from the projects if they are passionate about what they are participating in. We do offer community service sponsorship options that would allow a sponsor to choose the community service project for that season.
A : Monthly fees depend on the season and the number of kids on each team. The fees will cover gym costs, tournaments, coaches and administration fees. The average cost is around $80 per month. A one-time uniform fee (approx. $50) will be added as well.
We offer Partial and Full Scholarship for all ages.
A : Payments will be due on the 1st of every month.
A : Our goal is have 8 to 10 players per team. Our preference is 10 but we will field a team with a minimum of 8 players if necessary.
A : We will work to make the practices dates work conveniently for as many people as possible. This will be decided on a team-by-team basis.
A : We will have 1-3 practices per week. This will depend on the season and age of team.
A : Yes, we offer partial and full scholarship to all ages.
A : No. However, due to security purposes, you can not pay fees through the mobile app.
